Dyspraxia is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects around 2 children in each class of 30 in the UK. Children with dyspraxia may have difficulties with jumping, running, catching or kicking a ball, using stairs, getting dressed and keeping still. Beyond these difficulties, the condition is linked to elevated risks of anxiety, low physical activity, and social isolation. Despite being such a widespread condition, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) – as it is also known, research shows it is not well recognised or supported.
