SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  The Children and Families Act 2014 and Government’s SEND Code of Practice 2014 gives guidance to local authorities, schools, health and social care organisations and others to make sure that children and young people with SEND are supported.

Off-rolling

Off–rolling is the practice of removing a pupil from the school roll without a formal, permanent exclusion or by encouraging a parent to remove their child from the school roll, when the removal is primarily in the interests of the school rather than in the best interests of the pupil.

Children’s Quarter

Children’s Quarter is a cooperative owned and run by member groups and organisations which: provide services to children and young people (in any way); and want to make services inclusive and accessible to all.
