Safeguarding 19 December 2.30-5.30pm

Children’s Quarter offers Basic Safeguarding: training for new staff and volunteers. Free for
CQ members and groups offering sessions as part of Bring it On Brum!

Led by Our Place Training Facilitators, this 3 hour course is appropriate for new staff and volunteers in particular working in inclusive services. It will develop know-how and build skills that are essential to keep children safe.

Participants will gain an awareness of legislation and key messages applicable to safeguarding and the protection of children and learn to:
•recognise signs of various types of abuse and neglect
•respond appropriately to suspicion or knowledge that a child may be at risk of harm
•deal appropriately with disclosures and follow agreed procedures.

Places cost £30 and are FREE for members of Children’s Quarter and any group taking part in Bring it On Brum! Birmingham’s Holiday Activities and Food project.

Organised by Children’s Quarter with support from Bring it On Brum. This course includes
light refreshments and is based at:
