Join us on Friday afternoon for a 50 minute briefing on All Ages Autism grants. The awards are part of the £1m AAA Support Service managed by Landau Ltd on behalf of NHS Birmingham & Solihull, Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
| Over Summer 2023, Children’s Quarter members have been delivering a consortium project Fit for You funded by and AAA grant. The co-op will be submitting a further bid for consortium delivery from October 2023 – February 2024. Please join the Zoom if you would like to be part of Fit for You 2. A number of CQ member groups have also bid successfully for AAA grants independently. A brief reminder of the key features of the fund…
The aim of the All Ages Autism Support Service are:
- to provide a reliable and accessible point of contact for autistic people/person, their parents, families and unpaid carers
- to develop a service directory that connects with local statutory, third sector, private/independent organisations that support autistic people/persons
- to enable new autistic support services that enhance support and to encourage innovation and creativity and, to reflect local issues and need,
Resulting in autistic people (and their families and unpaid carers) being able to lead happier, healthier and independent lives.
The programme defines autistic people as ‘People with a diagnosis of autism, people awaiting a diagnosis of autism and people who self-identify as being autistic.’ Funding can be used to support people who have a diagnosis or who self-identify as autistic and who also have additional needs. Beneficiaries can be any age and must be resident in Birmingham or Solihull. Applications are particularly welcomed that relate to individuals or communities which suffer racial inequality.
