Hubbub Nature Hubs Fund supported by Starbucks offers non-profits, including schools, grants of £3000 to £6000 to create new green spaces or to improve existing ones. Nature Hubs Fund is made available through a partnership between the environmental charity Hubbub and Starbucks. Projects must take place within 5km of a Starbuck store (we think this covers most of Birmingham and North Solihull)
The fund will provide grants to projects that meet one or more of four themes: increasing access to nature; bringing people together; upskilling the community; and building climate resilience. The closing date for applications is 3pm on the 11th January 2024.
Funding Aims
Funding can be used for specific and discrete initiatives that create new green spaces, or enhance existing ones, that are publicly accessible and free to access. Eligible costs include:
• Materials relating to the nature hub activity.
• Utilities relating to the delivery of the project activity.
• Display materials, signage, and information.
• Services from external suppliers such as building labour costs, garden design etc.
• Staffing costs to cover the time spent planning and delivering any activity.
• Volunteer expenses such as public transportation costs, materials, and refreshments for volunteering days.
• Training, such as safeguarding.
Proposed projects should show that they will create a lasting, positive legacy and identify how the benefits of the project will continue beyond the funding.
