This grant is open to applications from non-profit groups (excluding schools) for up to £75,000 for land and buildings based projects costing up to £200,000 that are of community benefit. Grants are made under four headings:
- Community Buildings
- Recreation
- Cultural Facilities
- Rebuilding Biodiversity
Projects under the first three headings above must be located within five miles of a significant Biffa operation or within 10 miles of an active Biffa Landfill site. Biodiversity projects must be located within 15 miles of a significant Biffa operation. A significant part of Birmingham and the areas around it are eligible, but there are large parts of South Birmingham that are not.
