CQ’s Summer School is at Newman University on Friday 11 July. You can book up to three volunteers/staff members to do Safeguarding Level 2 and three more to do a combination of Inspiring Play and Food Hygiene Level 2. Arrival time is 9.15am for a cup of tea or coffee. Finish time is 12.30pm – participants will get a voucher so they can have lunch, if they choose, in the college dining hall. Summer School is free to CQ ,member groups but we will charge £25 for no-shows.

Play Inspiration is a practical 45 minute session that gears people up to think creatively about how play is included in Summer delivery. It is led by expert play trainer, Sue Smith. The session will run 9.30- 10.15am

Food Hygiene Level 2 and Allergy Awareness gives participants the knowledge to safely handle food to the level that is required to deliver HAF funded projects including Fit for All. The courses are accredited and take 2 hours to complete 10.30-12.30 Participants need to bering a laptop to take part in this one as some of the materials and the eventual tests must be done online in order to be accredited.

Safeguarding Level 2 gives individuals the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to, and record potential safeguarding concerns, especially for children and young people. The course is accredited and takes 3 hours 9.30-12.30 It is face to face learning led by skilled trainers from Our Place.
