Children’s Quarter 2019 AGM is 10am-1.30pm on Friday 10 May at Midlands Arts Centre, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham B12 9QH. As well as the essential business of reviewing the Co-op’s progress, agreeing priorities for the next year and electing a new Board to represent Members between General Meetings, we will be welcoming as our special guests:
Jack Dromey, MP for Birmingham Erdington and Shadow Minister for Work and Pensions, to reflect with us on the need for Inclusive Childcare, welfare reform and the prospects for winning equal childcare rights in practice for families and children who are disabled or have mental health or other additional needs
Janice Connolly (aka Barbara Nice) Richard Hayhoe (of Open Theatre) and Melissa Daly (of Birmingham Rep) focusing on the inclusion of children and young people of all abilities in expressive arts – drama, dance, storytelling and performance.
Members, supporters, their friends and organisations and people who are not YET members and supporters are very welcome to what will be a warm, celebratory and, we hope, inspiring event.
