Balsall Heath CATS (Children Action Team Support) is offering summer holiday activities for children and young people with additional needs this summer. The sessions are part of the Happy Healthy Holiday program which is providing opportunities for physical activity and healthy eating across Birmingham during July and August.
As well as sports and games and sensory play, children and young people taking part in the holiday activities will go on trips to local parks and amenities including: Cannon Hill Park and Midlands Arts Centre, Martineau Gardens, Moseley Park and the GLUE Garden – a community garden developed from wasteland which now produces food and serves as a learning base.
Sessions run on days throughout the summer holidays and are part of the inclusive services enabled by Children’s Quarter working with the Happy Healthy Holidays program – which has been organised by Sport Birmingham, Accord Group and The Active Wellbeing Society and is funded by the Department for Education.
