Celebrating Communities – Grant Update

Wednesday 14 April 2021 6.30-7.30pm online

Children’s Quarter wants the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022 to welcome and inspire children and young people in the West Midlands including those who are disabled, socially excluded or otherwise part of the 1 in 4 who the Children’s Commissioner says are vulnerable.  One way of making this happen is for grassroots groups  and organisations that are committed to inclusion to get involved in bringing the Games alive in the wards and communities they serve.

CQ Member groups and supporters are welcome to join this Member Update looking at BCC’s Celebrating Communities fund that is now open and aim to provide grants to:

  • encourage people to get active by participating in sports and recreational activities
  • improve communal spaces, and run community celebrations to develop active citizenship and reduce loneliness and social isolation
  • develop community-led cultural events and initiatives that bring people together across communities.

The update is Wednesday 14 April 6.30-7.30pm on Zoom.  Please contact Paul at CQ if you would like further information or to book your place(s) or use the form below:
