Children and young people can sign up for physical activity, healthy food and fun for four weeks for free during the Summer holidays at free@last in Nechells. The sessions for 5-16 year olds run Monday-Thursday from Monday 29 July to Thursday 22 August inclusive. They are 10am-2pm and take place at free@last’s base at 49 Nechells Park Road Birmingham B7 5PR.
The scheme is part of Happy Healthy Holidays – a government funded program operated in Birmingham by Sport Birmingham, the Accord Group and the Active Wellbeing Society – which enables children facing disadvantage to get physical activity and healthy food over the summer holidays, Children’s Quarter members have worked with Happy Healthy Holidays to make sure the scheme reaches out to include the children and young people who are most at risk of social exclusion in the city.
